Went for lunch, I had Roast beef, Yorkshire puddings plus veg. My wife had Chicken Balmoral and veg. Both meals were very good value, good portions, and very well cooked. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend.

Well well well I was very surprised at this small towns bar/restaurant/BnB. Was not expecting the stunning interior. I had a wee look around and it's massive too!!! Very deceiving from the outside. Staff were super nice and welcoming. Food was outstanding!! Please order the Scottish mussels and fries 😍😍...now I don't normally do loo reviews but even they were lovely lol!! Fresh flowers spotless and very well presented..I can't wait to come back to Lauder 10/10 Well done guys

Had pre Xmas lunch here with my wife. Second visit. Food is superb. Surroundings first class. Bedrooms wonderful. The Black Bull is a superb place to visit for a drink or for lunch. |We will definitely be back for post Xmas food. Staff are so attentive and are first class

Superb stay very accommodating and welcomed us and our dog. |Room was lovely- nicest linen and towels we’ve had in a hotel like this . Food was excellent and the staff really friendly and helpful. We will definitely return. |I would recommend this hotel

I've stayed here 4 times in the last year, every time has been perfect. Rooms are spotless and exceptionally comfortable, the food and breakfast are excellent and staff are very welcoming. I look forward to returning soon.

Great room and quite spacious for three people. The food was excellent and on top we had a memorable evening with people staying at the hotel as well. We would like to thank the owners and the whole staff for a great stay in Lauder! Cheers from Switzerland!

Just had a last minute birthday meal there. Superb restaurant, delicious food wonderfully served, so efficient and warm... And gorgeous rest room!! Honestly the best lasagne I've ever had. My friend had marvellously succulent chicken curry. 5 star for me.

I stayed at the Black Bull whilst up here looking after an American guest who was shooting locally. My stay was perfect the food, room and hospitality were first class.|I would recommend the hotel to anyone whether it be for business or pleasure.
